JPY can be deposited in three ways; bank transfer, Internet banking, and through participating convenience stores in Japan.
- Bank transfer
After logging in, go to the “Account Funding” menu and click the "JPY" tab to get your personal Japanese Yen Deposit Account information. Select Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, SBI Sumishin Net Bank, or GMO Aozora Net Bank as the account you want to deposit into, and your branch and account number will be displayed. After sending money to the corresponding account, it will be reflected to your account in the order it was received.
When making a deposit through SBI Sumishin Net Bank, a five-digit number must be added to the remitter’s name field. Your five-digit number is displayed with the bank information for deposits within the Account Funding menu.
Example: 12345 ビットフライヤー
* Please be aware that in any of the following cases, we will not be able to verify the corresponding JPY deposits and they will not be reflected to the customer’s account. If any of these situations occur, please make an inquiry through our Contact form.
- If the deposit is made using an incorrect account number
- If the five-digit number is omitted from the remitter’s name on a JPY deposit made through SBI Sumishin Net Bank
- If the remitter’s name and the name on the bank account do not match
