The 4-digit PIN is a way to strengthen the security of your account by confirming your identity.
If your two-factor authentication is set up to use email (including the case where you have not set up two-factor authentication), you will be required to enter your 4-digit PIN when sending crypto assets (virtual currency) to an external address, when using bitWire, or when changing your two-factor authentication settings.
The 4-digit PIN will not be required if you have selected to use SMS or a dedicated authentication app on your smartphone.
Please log in to bitFlyer, select Settings, then Security Settings to set up a 4-digit PIN.
Do not use the same password that you use for other services. Do not use a number that would be easy to guess.
