Job Responsibility

[Background] To support the future expansion and enhanced governance of our U.S. operations, bitFlyer Group is hiring for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position for its U.S. subsidiary. This role is based in Japan and plays a vital leadership role in overseeing and supporting financial and governance functions of the U.S. entity.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in both U.S. and Japanese accounting/taxation standards and will drive the financial strategy, governance structure, and internal controls of the U.S. business. You will serve as a key player in bitFlyer’s global business development.

[Main Responsibilities] ■Oversee and execute finance and accounting operations for the U.S. subsidiary ■Lead monthly and annual closings, including consolidation with other group entities ■Ensure compliance with US GAAP or IFRS accounting standards ■Monitor and report on cash flow, budgets, and funding status ■Create internal management accounting and financial reports for executive leadership

Required Skills

■Certified Public Accountant (USCPA) qualification ■5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting/finance under US GAAP or IFRS ■Business-level or higher proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) ■Business-level or higher proficiency in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) ■Cross-border accounting experience or working experience at an overseas location ■Strong skills in preparing financial and executive-level reports

Nice-to-have Skills

■Finance or accounting experience at a U.S. listed company, financial institution, or crypto-related business ■Experience in tax audits, internal controls, or compliance management ■Team management or organizational development experience ■Experience as CFO or Head of Finance in a startup or scaling company

Compensation

Estimated Annual Salary: ¥8,000,000 to ¥17,000,000 (includes fixed overtime pay equivalent to 45 hours/month)

Breakdown of Monthly Salary: Base Salary: ¥493,256 to ¥1,048,169 Fixed Overtime Pay: ¥173,411 to ¥368,498 (based on 45 hours/month) Any overtime beyond the fixed 45 hours, as well as late-night or holiday work, will be compensated at legally mandated premium rates. Additional performance-based bonus available.

■Employment Type: Full-time (No fixed term) ■Probation Period: Yes (6 months), with no change in employment conditions ■Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Flextime system with core hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM) ■Break Time: 60 minutes during working hours ■Overtime: Applicable ■Smoking Policy: No smoking indoors
