XDC
XDC Network is a decentralized blockchain platform designed specifically for business-to-business (B2B) transactions such as trade finance and cross-border payments. It adopts Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) to deliver high-speed processing and low transaction fees. Designed to comply with ISO 20022, it integrates readily with existing financial infrastructure and is seeing growing adoption among institutional investors and financial institutions.
The XDC Network was developed by XinFin, and its mainnet went live in 2019. It processes up to 2,000 transactions per second with a block time of approximately 2 seconds, giving it strong near-instant finality. It also supports smart contracts, and its practical use cases are expanding into areas such as digitizing trade finance documents and tokenizing assets.
XDC Inflation and Burn: Mechanism, Details, and Schedule
On the XDC Network, new XDC is issued each time a validator produces a block and is distributed to that validator as a reward. At the same time, the network automatically burns a portion of transaction fees, so the more actively the network is used, the greater the amount burned. As a result, the effective supply of XDC is determined by the balance between new issuance and the amount burned, and it can be either inflationary or deflationary depending on network conditions.
