Tron is a decentralized blockchain platform launched in 2017. It is designed specifically for developing DApps (decentralized applications) and distributing digital content. Its adoption of the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus algorithm delivers high-speed processing and low transaction fees. 

Tron was founded by Justin Sun, who previously served as Ripple's chief representative in China. Block production is handled by 27 Super Representatives, an architecture that enables the network to process up to 2,000 transactions per second. It also supports token issuance under the TRC-20 standard as well as smart contracts, and is widely used as infrastructure for stablecoin circulation.
