Osamu Higuchi

In the 32 years since he registered as a lawyer, Mr. Higuchi has been consistently engaged in M&A negotiation, corporate and business rehabilitation services, while also serving as a corporate auditor and director of several listed companies. Besides being involved in the rehabilitation of numerous companies whose value had declined due to various factors that made it difficult to continue stable business operations, he further also served as the chairman of third-party committees and external investigation committees to ensure the fairness of stock prices in the event of corporate scandals, going-private transactions, and M&A. Mr. Higuchi is a Auditing Committee Director of bitFlyer Holdings since March 2020. Not only is he knowledgeable about AML/CFT, having served as Vice President of the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association and as Executive Director of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, where he was in charge of FATF matters, but he is also always conscious of the importance of communication within an organization.
