Midori Kanemitsu

Executive Officer

Born in Seto Inland Sea and raised in Yokohama, Ms. Kanemitsu graduated from Hitotsubashi University, Faculty of Economics, and joined Goldman Sachs in 2006. Working in the Capital Markets Division of the Investment Banking Department, she was in charge of derivatives structuring (mainly equity derivatives, CBs and foreign exchange derivatives) and was involved in several of the first structuring deals in Japan.
In 2015, Ms. Kanemitsu developed a keen interest in bitcoin while studying cryptography and joined bitFlyer in January 2016. Initially, she was responsible for PR and all administrative operations, went on to take charge of financial and treasury operations as a financial institution, and has been in charge of new crypto assets and IEO since 2022.

Ms. Kanemitsu is a JBA advisor and vice-chairman of the JCBA Financial Section and Use Case Section. Her personal interest is researching and participating in DAOs around the world.
